Brand Ambassador for da Vinci Artists Brushes, Germany

da Vinci Artists Brushes, Germany

I’m a confessed brush addict. I’ve worked with da Vinci since 1991 and have over 400 of their brushes, each one used! They are artworks in themselves – da Vinci make nearly a million by skilled hand each year, with another two million made by their unique technology. There is a shape and fibre for every application.

As Brand Ambassador, I help them test and develop new brushes, including my design for their Artist Collection “Evan’s Favourite” set in 2022.

Brand Ambassador Schmincke Artist Colours

Schmincke Artist Colours

When I first met Peter Hesse in 1986, whose family started Schmincke over 100 years earlier, he said “that’s my family’s name on the paint – it must be the very best, or my name is worth nothing!” Schmincke do indeed make the finest colours for artists, combining over 140 years of paint making tradition with German technology and exactitude.

We collaborated to produce the Ultimate Mixing Set (2022) and Exquisite Colour Set (2023) for their Horadam Watercolours, and I’m very happy to call the team at Schmincke my friends.
