Working with the senior art students at Mt Albert Grammar School in Auckland Tamaki Makaurau 2021

Working with the senior art students at Mt Albert Grammar School in Auckland Tamaki Makaurau 2021 as Artist In Residence to create this mural was an uplifting experience. It involved 150 students making 500 individual works on perspex, which were then arranged into a cohesive whole. The students worked with abstract approaches – colour and markmaking – and the subsuming of individual paintings into the larger work. The result was a bright, reflective community of paintings installed in the main MAGS building.
